I like paper!

I like paper! I like it a lot. Paper is great for many things. I like to sit on it, and lay down on it. Both are good.

Every day a roll of paper is delivered to the house, and Papa Dad and Daddy spread it out on the kitchen table and stare at it. I do not know why they do this. Paper is not for staring at. I try to let them know this by showing them how great it is to sit on and lay down on, but they don't understand. Sometimes they don't understand because they have not yet had their mugs of dark brown liquid that they call "coffee". "Bad Cat," Daddy will say, lifting me off the paper and putting me on the paperless floor, "it's too early for this. I haven't even had my coffee."

Why they would need to drink coffee to understand why paper is great for sitting on is beyond me, but I'll keep trying until the day comes that Papa Dad, Daddy, and Julie are all lying down on paper with me!

Until then, they just keep staring at it. I wonder what's so interesting?

Laundry Day!

At least once a week Daddy or Papa Dad will do the nicest thing for me, and if I'm not mistaken, today is the day--Laundry Day!!! First, they take a bunch of clothing and they put it in the Churning Water Box. Then, they take the clothing, which is wet, and they put it in the Hot Shaking Box, and after a while there's a big buzzing sound and the Hot Shaking Box stops shaking.

I do not really like the big buzzing noise, it makes me want to yowl, so I do, and then I feel better. And then I keep yowling, because yowling is fun. And then I run up to Julie or Daddy or Papa Dad and then I yowl some more so that they know that I am yowling, which means that it's time to get the hot, dry clothing from the Hot Shaking box! This is the best, especially on days when Papa Dad says, "I'll fold it all when the second load is done" and he leaves the big basket of hot, dry clothing in the bedroom.

This is THE BEST. I jump into the basket and it's all hot and dry and WONDERFUL. I roll around for a while, making sure to rub my face on each piece of clothing until I'm so tired and happy that I have to sleep. Eventually someone finds me and says, "Bad Cat! Your fur is all over our clean clothing!" and I say, "Mrow!" which means, "You're welcome."

I can't wait. I'm going to go down to the basement to wait for the big buzzing noise.

Stairs!

I like running up and down the stairs of the house. I do it all the time. Up and down, up and down, up and down, and if I'm feeling really good, I'll yowl while I'm doing it! I'll yowl as loud as I can! This is especially fun when everyone else is asleep, because they wake up and say, "Bad Cat!!! What is wrong with you!?!" to which I will answer "NOTHING!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!" and it sounds like the bestest, loudest yowl ever!

Exciting New Things to Eat!

Sometimes when the humans go out to "the grocery store", they bring back orange fruits in a red plastic net bag. I heard Julie call it "Yay Clementines". They love Yay Clementines, but the orange fruit parts are dumb, because they are large and difficult to eat. The best part of the Yay Clementines is the red plastic net bag, which Daddy and Papa Dad never want me to eat (probably because it is so delicious). But I like to chew on it and chew on it and chew on it and swallow it! And then I throw it up, which is not so fun, and then Papa Dad yells "Bad Cat!" because he is upset that all the deliciousness made me throw up. And then sometimes he hides the red plastic net bag, but I know where it is--he hides it in a bin that they call "The Garbage". That's where all the best, most delicious food is hidden.

I'm going to wait until all of the humans are out of the kitchen, and then I'm going to break into The Garbage and feast!

Piles of White Rain!

Today Julie is happy because white rain is falling from the sky! Papa Dad is less happy because he does not like scooping the fluffy white rain off the driveway. I decided that I should jump into the piles of white rain, even though Papa Dad yelled, "Bad Cat, no!"

Guess what? The piles of white rain are cold. Really, really cold. The piles of white rain made me cold and wet. I am now soggy and cold and I do not like it. I will sit on Daddy's laptop computer to warm up.

First post!

Today Papa Dad tried to teach me a "trick". I'm not sure, but I think that he wanted me to fall asleep on the stovetop. I could tell by the way that he yelled "Bad Cat! Bad Cat!" that he was extremely pleased with the speed in which I learned the new trick. Now I'm going to do it all the time, because it's nice and warm there and doesn't move around all the time like Julie's lap.
